If you’re hosting a crowd this Christmas, you likely have your menu set and ready. If you are a guest, you likely should bring something to share. Here is a QUICK recipe that will impress your host!
Mini Cheese Balls
The beauty of these little beauties is that you can roll them in just about ANYTHING. Chopped craisins, pistachios, fresh herbs, and my favorite…Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel Seasoning!
1 block cream cheese, softened 3 tbl butter, softened
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp grated lemon zest
1 cup shredded firm cheese (cheddar, parmesan, jack or gouda)
Salt & pepper
- Mix together cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce.
- Add in lemon zest and mix in your shredded cheese of choice. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well until you have a creamy texture. You can use a hand or stand mixer.
- With moistened hands, form into 1 inch balls and chill for about 3-4 hours.
- After balls have chilled, roll in toppings. May be made ahead and frozen!
