Orange Really is the New Black

Oh, October. This month brings to mind many warm and wonderful things: the fleeting beauty of vibrant turning leaves, the crisp cool nights which result in perfect sleeping weather.  Rediscovered favorite jeans and tall boots, the commencement and optimism of football season.  Pumpkin spice lattes are in full force (whether you love them or hate them), and spooky-fun halloween decor is *hopefully* preceding Christmas displays in shop windows.  But perhaps the most telling symbol of October’s commencement is the color orange.

To wear true orange, October might be your safest bet to do wo without resembling a living, breathing Jack-O-Lantern. Thankfully, orange is not a one-size-fits-all color; the hue doesn’t have to resemble a jack-o-lantern.  Softer shades also fit the bill without being so harsh.  Think salmon, apricot, tangerine, rust, peach, and coral.
