Are you one who loves to peruse home furnishing and decor catalogs? If you’re like me, you probably receive a tree’s worth of catalogs each year. Crate and Barrel, Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, Design Within Reach. Room and Board, Arhaus, West Elm, and my favorite…Serena & Lily. Leafing through these catalogs can give the armchair decorator much inspiration. The problem is, with everyone shopping from the same couple of dozen vendors, the American home can start to look pretty cookie cutter pretty quickly. Your neighbor’s house and your other neighbor’s house become interchangeable, predictable, lifeless, and dull.
West Elm (Chic? Yes. Does your neighbor have the same table? Probably)./
If you are looking for something different, that none of your neighbors will have, that will express your individuality, you will have to dig a bit deeper into the internet. Here are a few retailers to check out!
Interior Home Scapes sources from many top furniture makers. They are easy to work with, and have a FANTASTIC selection. The quality is great, and the price is right. Their accessories and art are not to be missed.
Houston-based High Fashion Home is another great resource for amazing furniture. In addition, the company plants a tree for every furniture piece purchased.
Lillian August offers furnishings and accessories which are a bit more glammed-up, if that’s your thing. A few favorites:
Let your home express the individual that you are. Spend some time reflecting and searching for what YOU want, not what you are told that you should have. Your surroundings should mean a lot to you. Dig deep and find the look you want, at the budget you need. It’s out there for you!
