The Luxe-ist Luxury Boots

Got a few thousand bucks burning a hole in your pocket?  No?  Then read on and dream along with me.  Here are some of the chicest, most extravagant boots out there, mostly tailored to attract the eye of the 1%.

Behold the dear alligator who gave his life in the name of fashion.  We have Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson’s fashion brand, The Row, to thank for these works of art.

Moving along to another reptile, the crocodile, we have a classic cowboy boot silhouette.  A timeless style that never goes out of fashion, these could safely be considered a wise investment.   Lucchese is a generations-old shoe and  boot maker, originating in Italy in the 1860’s, and today producing out of El Paso, Texas.

There are few of us in the world who would be able to pull these denim, belted thigh-highs off.  Rihanna designed them in collaboration with Manolo Blahnik, which pretty much explains it all.

Finally, the piece de resistance, the world’s most expensive boots.  Belgian designer A.F. Vandervorst created these using 1.550 carats of diamonds, 4.7 grams of gold, and a logo made out of a rare red-pink.  These are only available in size 39 (8 US).  The price?  $3.1 million.  That’s right.
