Trending: Sombre

Bayalage, Ombre, Sombre…are you confused yet, Hombre?

The latest buzzword trending in hair is Sombre.  Sombre translates to “soft ombre.”  It’s a less dramatic style; the natural color at the roots is left untouched, and used throughout the hair.   Olivia Wilde rocks her Sombre locks.

Sombre is perfect for “blondes,” as it is a less harsh look.  Rather than using foils, colorists paint on the color, freehand.

This look will grow out nicely, especially if your visits to the colorist are not exactly like clockwork.  Combined with a high gloss, Sombre is a gorgeous, rich look as modeled by the always-lovely SJP.
