Spring Jewelry Trends

There are some interesting jewelry trends popping up on runways and on the street this spring.  Be sure to scour your local art fair for some fun interpretations of all of these trends.

A heavy industrial look is very in.  Think rivets, chains, grommets, and even padlocks, seen in burnished silver, stainless steel, or tarnished pewter.   Chunky and clunky, yet still clean and symmetrical.

Chokers and collar necklaces are making a comeback.  Fabric, gold, silver, or embellished: anything goes.  The tighter, the better.

Also of note on spring runways are oversized earrings.  Dangly and colorful.  The bigger, the better.

Finally, look out for VERY long necklaces.  The longer the better…and the more materials used, the better.  Layering necklaces is still hot, as is layering mixed mediums of necklaces. hbz-ss2016-trends-jewelry-long-and-layered-tory-burch-gettyimages-488323384hbz-ss2016-trends-jewelry-long-and-layered-chloe-clp-rs16-2994

The only rule here is to be sure not to mix and match these trends together too much…stick with one piece to make a statement.
