As part of our 2016 Spring Color series, we would like to introduce Limpet Shell.
“A shade of aqua that leans toward the green family, PANTONE 13-4810 Limpet Shell is clear, clean and defined. Suggestive of clarity and freshness, its crisp and modern influences evoke a deliberate, mindful tranquility.”
Each year, color designers from Pantone meet and declare what the spring palette will be. These colors will appear in Technicolor in all aspects of life for the year. In 2016, Pantone’s color designers searched this year for unisex hues, perhaps in hopes to refute the archaic stereotype that pink is for girls, and blue for boys. Some colors depict an urban landscape, while others are more organic Limpet Shell is equal parts robin’s egg, Caribbean sea, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The most feminine blue there can be.
Designers such as Ground Zero and O’2nd will be showing Limpet Blue on their runways.
Limpet Shell just screams “I Do.” It’s a classic natural for any wedding.
Limpet Shell is timeless in home design. It works as a main player in a color scheme, and looks amazing as a front door color on certain home styles. It definitely works best in a traditional landscape.
Remember: these colors are not just for runway models. They are for you.
