Food On Demand

Do you have a serious hankering for a cold-pressed juice, but don’t want to leave your home of office to procure it?  Are you craving Pho noodles?  Meatloaf?  Sushi?  Cupcakes?  Thanks to high-speed food delivery purveyors, you may be in luck.  Depending on the market in which you live, you may be able to utilize Amazon Prime Now, Grub Hub, Bitesquad, and Uber Eats to bring you a meal, on the double.

Uber Eats is proving to have the most intriguing business model, with the quickest delivery time of around ten minutes.  They offer a rotating, curated daily menu from a variety of restaurants.  The menu is posted a few days out, allowing customers to plan ahead if desired.

If you are an Uber car user, the drill is basically the same.  No money changes hands, and everything is done via the Uber app.  You order the food you desire off of the menu, and wait for a response.unnamed

Hungry yet?  If you are blessed enough to live in one of currently serviced cities, here’s how Uber Eats works:

  1. Open the Uber app and select the meal icon at the top.
  2. Enter your location and tap VIEW MENU.
  3. Place order.

You will meet your “messenger” outside in short order, usually around TEN MINUTES.

Only available at this time in the largest markets (Chicago, NYC, DC, LA, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, San Francisco, Toronto), Uber Eats is quickly expanding to other cities.  Brilliant.
