If you’re like me, giving gifts is the best part of the holiday season. I’ve found a way to enhance that feeling, and that’s by giving charity-based gifts that keep on giving.
In the wonderful world of fashion, there are many retailers that will donate to a person (or organization) after a purchase. Here are a few:
TOMS, a “One for One” brand endorses their motto that “With every product your purchase, TOMS will help a person in need.” So, with every cute pair of shoes you purchase from their website, they will give a pair to a child in need.
BOBS (From Skechers) donates shoes to children in need, too, after a purchase of Women’s or Children’s shoes. “Through our non-profit partners, BOBS helps children affected by poverty, homelessness, epidemics and life-changing events. We’re proud to be part of a movement that’s donated more than 10 million pairs of new shoes to children in the United States and more than 30 countries worldwide, and we look forward to helping millions more with your help.”
Love Your Melon is a hat-specialty company who sell cute beanies that are perfect for keeping your head warm during those cold winter months. The company is “an apparel brand run by college students across the country on a mission to give a hat to every child battling cancer in America.” For just $30, your purchase could help a sick child receive a warm hat.
The Elephant Pants are a fashion company whose goal is to save the elephants from extinction. “To help save the elephants, we donate $1 or $2 from every item (harem pants, shorts, tapestries, rompers, mystery boxes, jewelry, and more) we sell to African Wildlife Foundation.” Their stylish products are a great gift for you and an elephant in Africa.
This holiday season, think of ways that your purchase could mean a little more, for your loved ones and those in need.
