Athleisure is a common term for blending athletic wear with street, or “leisure” wear. This trend is also referred to as “apres sport,” or “gym to office.”  It exemplifies the busy urbanite:  effortlessly on trend and ready for anything.

While it is frowned upon by some to be out and about in public wearing yoga pants and an athletic top, athleisure wear offers a dressed up alternative – without sacrificing comfort.

Now we can look beyond Lululemon and Athleta for such apparel.  Designers outside of the athletic clothing world have jumped into the game, as are celebrities: Beyonce is launching a line in fall of 2015, in collaboration with retailer Topshop.  Alexander Wang and H&M have also teamed up with a comfort line.
