Worth A Look: Diane von Furstenberg “Journey of a Dress”

Timeless—the first word that comes to mind when you see a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress. Must we even include a picture? We know that you know what we’re talking about. The master dressmaker, who has an unparalleled following, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress with an exhibition in Los Angeles entitled “Journey of a Dress.” Portraits of von Furstenberg by Andy Warhol and a new collection of dresses featuring the artist’s signature prints are showcased at the exhibition, as worn by hundreds of custom Pucci mannequins created specifically to match von Furstenberg’s figure. Perhaps most amazing is how the wrap dress has managed to remain fresh, feminine, and appropriate for every occasion throughout all its years on the market. The Journey of a Dress exhibition is located at the Wilshire May Company Building in Los Angeles and is open until April 1, 2014.
